Rated 5 out of 5 by from outside tap kit simple and easy to fit took less than 30 minutes. would use again

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Rubbish Absolute rubbish. Self cutting tap wasn't up to the job - by the time I had tightened it to the maximum, all I got was a trickle of water out - think 60 seconds to fill a pint glass. Taking it all apart, the self cutting tap wasn't strong enough to cut standard 15 mm copper pipe - instead it had bent it, and made a small puncture on part of the cut circumference, instead of cutting out a complete disk as it should. The kit is waste of time, I spent twice as long removing it, buying the parts I should I bought in the first place and installing them. Don't buy this kit - it's cheap. Spend a few pennies and and few minutes more and do it properly.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Outside Tap Great piece of kit. Really easy to fit in under 30mins. No leaks, everything you need in one box and clear instructions. I would recommend a 18mm SDS drill bit rather than the 16mm stated on the box though. Only just fitted so can't comment on reliability hence 4 stars.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Outdoor tap Great value, if you don't fancy the self cutting method an alternative is to use the connection for your washing machines cold supply, simply buy a 'Y' connector from screwfix and attach to your washers cold supply pipe, this gives you a double adapter one for yr washing machine one for your outside tap!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Brilliant, no leaks Have had this installed for over a year and used fairly regularly with pressure washer .... no leaks which is a relief as its plumbed in behind washing machine and really difficuly to get to!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from terrible value first time ive been disappointed by screwfix i use them professionally and at home. this kit has caused me wasted hours the tap thread is too short which means screwing the tap in so it faces the right way is a pain as a result the washer either squeezes out or the tap is to loose and leaks. I solved this with a decent o ring but it leaked again from the crimped hose end behind the back plate this proved impossible to fix and i will now have to by a proper kit instead complete waste of money

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good all round quality Easy to fit, looks good and delivers a nice stream of water and is still going strong after fitting 2 years ago but only thing about it that could potentially be a problem for some casual diy'rs is the base plate for the tap... There are 3 very closely drilled holes that you use to mount to the outside wall which can very easily go wrong if drilling and fixing straight to brick so I would advise using some wood to fix it to then fix wood to the brick.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Likely to leak and cost you!! I bought one of these kits last year, fitted in minutes and used a handful of times. Unfortunately after returning from a shopping trip we found half the kitchen with a substantial layer of water flowing around the tiles. The green flex pipe had expanded and even though the jubilee clip was tight, water managed to escape. The self-drilling tape head wasn't even at full pressure either. If you want the job doing, just use the copper stuff.
