Rated 3 out of 5 by from Mice-B-Gone Bought the traps on Thursday. One dead mouse on Friday, another dead mouse on Saturday. Eagerly awaiting Sunday. Great value product with four traps in a pack. What's not to like - unless you're a mouse....

Rated 3 out of 5 by from How to use this trap. Traps have come on a long way since this style... better traps have have a pressure plate that is triggered when the rodent gets near the bait. With this trap - based on the old school model of traps, it isn't a case of wedging a lump of food on the forks of the trap, but placing a really small dollop of peanut butter beyond the forks, towards the centre of the trap. By doing this you are not trying to get the mouse to trigger the trap by eating the food by pulling it off the fork (mice are tiny), but by reaching over the fork, or knocking it to get to the food. Yes there are better traps out there, but this one does work, as do old-school traps if you bait them right. Remember: Mice will be suspicious of a new object - expect results after 3 days. I have trapped 6 mice so far with this trap Victor traps are up there with the best, but you can trap with this one if you have already bought a load. Happy hunting!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from These traps don't catch mice! Poor design means that the bait can be eaten by a mouse without triggering the trap. The bait goes onto a little bit of metal with two prongs that holds the bait at a perfect height for the mouse to nipple away without springing the trap. I have successfully fed my mice half a bar of choclate using these traps. I went to the local hardware store bought 4 little nipper traps (wooden with a full width plate for the bait) for £5 and caught four mice in one night. The bait from the 4 screwfix traps was eaten again without any being set off. Overall, poor design means they just don't work. The only good bit is that they are quite well made and should last a long time, although their only real function appears to be as mouse feeders.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from mouse trap good value for money and a simple traditional trap has a good mechanism so you dont get your fingers snapped in the trap

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not very good I purchased these to get rid of a "mouse in the house", unfortunately it ate the food placed on the trap, twice, without tripping it. (Three traps used and three food bits for the mouse.) I would not recommend these!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from cheese and wine well made but poorly designed. We must now have the fattest mice in the kingdom. All bait taken without the trap being activated. surprised our wine has not gone. traps need a larger platform like the" little nipper" Cheap but would not recommend. may get a cat!!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from mediocre trap Bought this pack of traps and so far have caught three mice, however I have also found the bait eaten without the traps triggering. They're just not sensitive enough. This also means when you do get a kill it's not across the neck of the animal so I'm not so sure this trap is very humane. I would say the success rate is around 15-20%. I've given up on them and bought an electronic trap instead. Hopefully it should be worth the extra outlay

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Don't bother Wish I'd seen the reviews before buying in store. I wanted the cheap simple wooden little nipper traps screwfix used to sell. These ones are easy to set, but they don't trip as only the little bait holder is the trigger rather than a big platform. Tried several times, just have some happy fed mice now. Save your money, buy different ones.
