Chrome Radiator Compression Valve Tail 15mm 2 Pack is rated 4.8 out of 5 by 52.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent I don't usually bother to review items, but am very pleased with this. I have recently converted 8 Imperial size radiators to narrower Metric size using these Tails. None of them have thus far leaked. I am very much an amateur and found them very easy to install.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Longer radiator tail Very useful when you need the extra length, tail slides in and out for max flexibility, great stuff

Rated 5 out of 5 by from They Do The Job. Bought these thinking they were a rigid assembly that you shortened to suit using a pipe cutter. When fitting I realised that the 15mm pipe actually slides through an 'O' ring to enable easy adjustment. I had my doubts about the tails sealing, but, hey ho, no leaks so far after being in use for a few days now. Getting the valves to stay upright due to the flexible plastic feed/return pipes is a pain as it can freely rotate on the tail (should be OK with copper) I do expect them to start leaking over time, especially after being knocked a few times with the hoover. I think Screwfix should stock rigid tails as I'd much rather had fitted a non adjustable tail. I've noticed on the forums that some plumbers will, once adjusted for length, run a bead of silicon sealant around the inside as an added precaution.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Ideal Compromise Ideal compromise when changing an old imperial radiator for a metric one and you cannot exactly match the size....

Rated 5 out of 5 by from radiator extension allow to fit metric rads in place of imperials without having to change pipework
Date published: 2017-01-03
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent product Used this to connect a TRV to a tall vertical radiator where the client had left too much space between the pipe coming out of a solid wall and the radiator's connection hole. This product with its extendable pipe fitted perfectly taking up the gap to the TRV compression joint. The pipe slides through the body of the unit with a double rubber seal allowing it to automatically seal no matter what length you adjust it to. Plus the rubber gasket around the outside of the body seals to the radiator a lot better than the normal male connection and copious amounts of white tape.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from so far so good fitted this some time ago and so far no leaks, though I do have some leak sealer in the system.
