Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent quality Went up easily provided you measure and mark up accurately where the wall connectors attach to the wall. Hammer drill and rawl plugs must be correct length/ size if attaching to brick wall. Set up in room and make end connectors equidistant. Start and finish same distance from end wall corners. Carefully full length pre drill end caps and connectors where they attach to the timber. Take care not to mark connectors when drilling for screws closest to connectors. Use shorter screws on not use brass...too soft and will not match in any case. Oak is of course a hard wood and will not take a screw unless sufficiently pre drilled. Use wire/pipe detector.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice rail, poor screws. Rail looks great on the stairs. Screws for fixing bracket and caps to rail are poor quality which results in stripped screw head, even with pilot holes. I replaced them with shorter 1" no 8 screws from BQ which were more reliable. First pack I bought had three rail sections with very different colours of wood so I had to re-order a second pack.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Titanic handrail Good looking, solid bannister rail that would grace any home. Highly recommended, you will not be disappointed. If anything it is over-engineered! I fail to see why 2 x no.8 x 38 mm screws are required at each end of the rail to fix them to the bracket. (20 in total!) They play no part in the structural strength of the rail and fixing 38mm screws into oak is not easy even for the skilled carpenter. These are seriously long screws and the risk of breakage is very real! The instructions do not tell DIY'ers to pre-drill the with 3mm pilot holes although obvious to experienced people. I bought 19 mm screws and ditched the 38 mm ones. I would also advise using a chalk line to mark the line on the wall. Still it is a great product but they really should have designed out the above points.
