Soldering Iron 230V 40W is rated 3.0 out of 5 by 56.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Costly error I already had a soldering iron but wanted one with a fine tip for a delicate job on a PCB. The reviews I had read on this product (the first ones listed in retrospect are the better ones) led me to believe this was just the product I needed. How wrong could I have been? The tip got so hot, it melted itself and fried the item I was working on, causing irreparable damage and costing me dearly.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great for LED strips.... I was struggling with my old larger soldering iron to work with LED strips, this one is perfect because it has a sharp point. It also heats up quickly and thenlittle stand is really handy.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Very low quality iron package I bought one of these for a quick guitar electronic repair as it is ideal being 40W. First impression was not a good one, the product felt like cheap price. The 'stand' included is just a bit of thin metal that you bend and the power cable on the soldering iron itself is very short (I had to use an extension lead to actually use it) The iron gets hot quite quickly but the plastic handle also heats up too which is not good. Got the first job done OK, albeit cleanup was quite messy, however on the 2nd use the tip just sheared off after heating up. I was left with a dangerous, broken soldering iron after the 2nd use so I ended up returning for a full refund after the 2nd replacement.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best purchase so far for 2017 I initially bought this for using it for my fashion project. i used it to cut fabric and i done some research online beforehand. it is the best thing i have bought so far, i am impressed with how it cuts materials and i wish i knew earlier

Rated 1 out of 5 by from waste of time bought this to do some cable joints on an electric guitar.I have never ever bothered to do a review before but I had to say something about this. Its utterly useless.DONT BUY IT.takes so long to heat up that the handle was red hot and the iron bent over to an unusable angle. straight in to the bin mate.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Soldering iron Not had long and only light use but the tip is of very poor quality and has not lasted. Ok so the iron was cheap but does not come with spare tips nor do Screwfix offer. My previous Draper soldering iron lasted 5 years on one tip

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Totally useless Bought as an emergency replacement to complete a soldering job as my Remploy of many years use finally gave up. The Screwfix replacement was bought in the morning and thrown away in disgust in the afternoon. The useless tip burns away to nothing in a very short time screwfix cant supply replacements even if the tool was worth the bother which it isn't. You will also burn your hand if used for any time from the heat from the vents length
