Spax Single Thread Woodscrews 3.5 x 16mm 200 Pack is rated 4.9 out of 5 by 28.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Hard to chew! Using either a power or hand driver these screws went almost effortlessly into ceiling joists. Pleasantly surprised to see how hard it is to chew the heads if the driver becomes misaligned!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from One of the best What I like about Spax is they never slip, never chew up and never waste any. I have used Spax many times over the last 5 years, on the old outhouses we have, I have been changing them around and the screws still come out perfectly, unlike other cheap screws, these do not snap when you remove them, this is great as I can re-use them time and time again. These are an excellent performance screw.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Simply superb Spax screws are a perfect and positive example of getting what you pay for. I work a lot with iroko timber and these are the only screws I've found that don't shear the head and consistently take hold at the start. I won't and don't use anything else for working with hardwood.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Simply the best screws ! Over the years & whilst constructing our extension I have found these to consistently be the best make of screws. Design means no need to pre-drill & rarely any splitting of the timber. They will also withstand multiple removals and re-use without any fear of the head being "chewed-up" by the screwdriver bit. Generally slightly more expensive than some other makes but well worth it in the long run!! I won't choose any others now!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good for MDF Bought these to attach drawer runners to veneered MDF and they work a treat. Screw in easily and actually pull tight whereas normal wood screws don't seem to go tight in MDF, just keep going round. Would recommend based on this.
