Rated 5 out of 5 by from Post Shovel Awesome bit of kit, used for smashing out roots and pre-dig holes for posts.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Stronger than me! This "spit" is stronger than me! I've been using it to dig out deep rooted and established blackberry roots, shrub roots that have spread in all directions and all manner of other unwelcome roots of perennial weeds. I decided the only way was to dig them out of the clay soil one at a time which is hard work but I seem to have chosen the right tool for the job. This tool is very strong being solid steel and easy to use. The leverage you can apply is very high and enables the deep rooted roots to be "lifted" without too much effort. I had used a conventional spade which merely bent the spade. I'm pleased with the purchase. Biggest risk is to retain it in my tool collection!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from First Rate Kit The other reviews were spot on. You pay for what you get.Good quality spade to dig post holes. Having the right spade can make the job so much easier so if you need to dig post holes this is a must!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Spade I bought this spade for quite a lot of digging i had to do , and i'm so glad i did , would have really struggled with out it ! Great spade , nice and heavy which is a good thing when grounds rock hard

Rated 4 out of 5 by from no surprises I wanted an incredibly sturdy post hole spade, capable of bashing through stout tree roots and small hardcore if necessary, and this delivers. I already possess a similar spade, which all my team argue over (!), so was hoping for the same. This spade is slightly lighter in weight, but feels like it will go the distance, and hasn't failed so far.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from handy trench spade "Using this spade to dig trenches in narrow places and to remove clay in thick slices. It feels strong to use and does not give any signs of bending great value for the money the cheapest around

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Used it for digging out post holes, its got enough weight to make the job easier & seems very strong, but I'm sure time will tell.
