Spear & Jackson Razorsharp Advance Wishbone Hedge Shears is rated 4.8 out of 5 by 36.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Spear & Jackson shears I bought these shears because my grass was well over grown to about waist height and way to long for a lawnmower. These shears are very light to hold. I was using them for 3 hours solid and they didn't feel any heavier from when I started to when I finished. The grip is soft and comfortable and I didn't even get any blisters on on hands. Like I mentioned I was cutting grass and these shears had no problem with the smallest blade of grass to the medium size (10mm) branch of a bush. Overall :- very cheap, very light weight, very comfortable, very sharp. Excellent value for money. S&J you've done yourself proud.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from So far so good I've not used these shears a great deal yet, but so far they have impressed. They cut effectively and are easy to handle. They look sturdy, but I can't say how long they will last or stay sharp.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Hedge shears - it cuts hedges.... Got this a few weeks ago. Only used it twice so far. Have a reasonable size hedge 2.3m tall and 30m long. Hedge is reasonably tough stuff with shoots approx 8mm diameter. Made easy work out of it. The clearing up was tougher than the cutting. Plastic handles have a bit of spring in them but blades are a good weight and sturdy. Happy with them and much better than the cordless trimmer I have.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent shears. I used these for the lawn edges, as I don't like using strimmers. They did a superb job. Lightweight, easy movement, extremely sharp. Very impressed. Don't know about reliability as I've had them less than a week, but a 10 year guarantee sounds good to me.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Shears 1 : Shrubs 0 Very sharp, lightweight and comfortable to use. Certainly made short work of the shrub jobs I've used it on. S&J model number is 4888HS The blades attach via three sturdy looking screws, there is a blade notch for thicker cuts (which actually works very well), and an adjustable tension screw. Someone reviewed these and said that the tip doesn't close: this is to do with the anti shock bumpers: whenever you apply pressure to close the shears, they close fully. I used the very tip to cut a swingtag off my new boots whilst I was wearing them... So precision is no problem if that is what you want. I've only had these a short while, but they feel like quality, and there is a 10 year guarantee (always keep your receipts). These are highly reviewed on other sites at nearly twice the Screwfix price, so something of a bargain here. Delivered on time, sms an hour before delivery: why doesn't everyone do this?
