Spiral Wrap x 50mm x 7.5m is rated 3.9 out of 5 by 45.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great for use in tight spaces I bought this to insulate the cold water pipes under the kitchen sink in order to reduce the condensation forming there. I have to say that although it can be a little time consuming to apply the results are excellent. I was sceptical but the iR image of the cold spots prove that this works really well and so far there has been no further condensation.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Chunky This spiral wrap is an excellent product exactly wraps around pipework even in awkward places

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Pipe wrap Needed to lag pipes that are to close together for foam insulation this wrap has done the job a bit time consuming but fits well & is tough would recommend for awkward pipes.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good but be careful! Good but be careful the aluminium doesn't touch the copper! Beats me why they used aluminium as you can't put aluminium against copper as the two will react! So quite risky but good for going in tight spaces.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Insulating wrap Seems to have done the job in insulating three water pipes together

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Little better than nothing The claims for this product are completely false unless the pipe is lagged first. For basic protection to avoid heat damage to paint or boards where you can't get thicker insulation in it will help but for general pipe insulation forget it. I tested it on a pipe at 60'C with the wrap it read 55'C on the outside of a double thickness layer. The foam insulation next to it read under 20'C. Absolutely pointless.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Energy Saving Wrap. Worth reading other positive reviews which I support. Easy to use and looks to be effective but only just fitted so time will tell. Not sure what one can say about features it just is what it says it is. Difficulty in wrapping reported by others can be overcome by cutting to lenght required or developing the technique so that one continuously feeds the tape around a close fit pipe(s) winding on further as more added. Then use of a little tape to secure ends and possibly to reinforce mid wrap finishes the job. Recommended strongly for purpose as described.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Ideal for joints, awkward spot Used this for added protection of joints in the loft, where despite mitring, foam insulation would not fit tightly. This was a good choice to go around those joints, wrapping tightly together to seal the joint in (with some gaffs tape!) I would think a single layer of this stuff would do very much at all - so those who think it'll provide significant insulation in a single layer be wary.... However it'd be fine once you'd wrapped it round a few times.
