Stockshop Wolseley Plastic & Steel Ground Feeder x 148mm Green 2.5kg is rated 1.0 out of 5 by 1.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Feeder Lacks Stability I have six chickens and up till now have feed them by scattering their food on the ground. However, with recent downpours resulting in over saturated ground I decided to purchase the above. My decision was based in part on the following feature: Angled Grid Prevents Perching. Following on from this statement I assumed this would also prevent it being tipped over. How wrong could I be. As soon as I put the food laden feeder on the ground the chickens were all over it resulting in it tipping over and scattering the food over the ground. So why did it tip? Simply, due to a lack of stability. Thinking about the problem I suggest the manufacturer also supplies two pieces of moulded plastic (one for each end of the feeder) say 300Lx20Wx10Dmm with two slots into which the feeder's feet can be clipped. So until the feeder comes with improved stability I really can not recommend this product.
