Stuart Turner Techflo TP S Positive Head Shower Pump 2.0bar is rated 3.8 out of 5 by 10.
Rated 2 out of 5 by from Stuart turner TP S 2 bar pump Bought this pump in May 2016 after old pump packed up after "12 years" of use, found this pump very quiet & happy with performance. After four months pump started to get noisy to a point it was screaming & smelling of burning plastic, took it back to Screwfix who exchanged it with no problems ( Thank You, Screwfix ). Will now see how long this one lasts. If this one goes faulty again, would definitely not want an other one, shame really as pump is good when working but reliability lets it down big time!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Became very noisy Bought this as a replacement for a nine year old Altech pump. The rubber feet fell off as it came out of the box. This wasn't an issue as it sits on an anti vibration pad. Pump became noisy after four weeks use and sounded like a bag of nails. Screwfix supplied a replacement the day after I reported the problem without any hassle at all - thank you Screwfix. Hopefully the first unit was a rogue one as the new unit runs fine. Water pressure was unaffected by the racket the pump made but the induction hum and grinding noise was unbearable.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Bad Batch? Quiet..YES!. Easy to fit ..YES! Gives a good Shower..Yes! But the first one lasted about 2 months then started to scream in use, No problems Screwfix exchanged like for like. Now the replacement has gone the same way..about 2 months and it packs in mid shower, blown fuse. Fuse replaced the shower pump works then slows down ...hums...restarts , squeals and slows to nothing. Back to Screwfix for another make.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very impressed! I've just finished re-doing my en suite and the shower I bought was a concealed one with a massive "rainfall" head. I knew I needed to boost the pressure so I bought one of these, I am not disappointed! Very easy to fit, leak free first time. As for performance, the pressure even out of the large shower head beats that of my electric shower in the bathroom. I isolated the pump and tried the shower just to see the difference. It was literally a trickle! It doesn't seem too noisy either, it's in the airing cupboard just on the floor. I can't really comment on reliability as it's not been in that long (hence the 3 star)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent pump - very quiet I recently moved house and the water pressure in our shower was extremely low. I realised the existing pump (Salamander) wasn't working properly. I looked for a good value replacement and this pump was the obvious choice. It is compact, easy to install and very quiet. One small note, it doesn't come with a fitted plug. I had to buy this separately and wire it up. The push fit plumbing it comes with are high quality and it makes installation a breeze. Very happy with the water pressure - 2 bar is definitely enough.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fantastic pump I bought this pump to replace my Stuart Turner 1.4 bar ShowerMate which was installed in 1996 and had been used more or less every day since! I was therefore keen to stick with this brand. Flow rate: Flow rate is excellent compared to the old 1.4 bar ShowerMate. My old pump was 30 min on / 30 min off and I never noticed, so I don't expect that will be a problem. I guess if you have a continuous shower for longer than 30 mins then it might be an issue. I wouldn't use this to power more than 1 shower. Size & form factor: The pump is very compact, smaller than I expected and probably about 2/3 the size of the pump it replaced. It feels light, but well built. It has thick plastic on both sides that house the impellers, but the main body of the case is aluminium which allows heat to escape the motor. Fitting: Fitting was very straightforward. A slight complication is that the inlet and outlet heights are different, but the hose lengths are all the same. The majority of pumps out there have the inlet and outlet pipes all at the same height. This required me to extend a couple of my pipes - not very difficult depending on your set up, but something to note. Noise: I'm really surprised how quiet this pump is. I have it mounted in a cupboard on top of some carpet to act as a sound dampener, and I would say that it's not much louder than my bathroom fan! It probably has a lot to do with how I have positioned the pump, but nevertheless the pump runs nice and quiet. Overall: A minor point - one of the vibration pads at the bottom of the pump (a thin rubber strip) fell off while I was installing. This wasn't too much of an issue for me as I was mounting it on some old carpet. However overall I am extremely happy with this pump.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from The Trill In The Bathroom I brought this because it states that it is a 2 bar pump and all the latest shower towers and mixers ask for a minimum of 2 bar. I had a Salamander Pump that was only pushing 1.5bar. The Stuart Pump does not feel as robust or heavy duty as the Salamander and it sounds like a trill rather than a steady hum. However, it pumps the water better, cost less and comes with the pipes and instructions needed to install. Only comes with a years warranty rather than the 3 of Salamander, so will have to see how it performs over time. NB. Make sure you bleed the pump before starting it up.
