Surface Preparation Wheel with Arbor 100mm is rated 4.1 out of 5 by 29.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great for heritage work These have been very good cleaning off rust from canal mileposts which are made from cast iron which is over 100 years old. This provided an excellent base for painting. Just remember to wear a dust mask!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Made easy work of rust removal Was skeptical of this product but bought after recommendation from a trusted friend. You have to assemble the unit, using a spanner, squishing the wheel between two metal washers on the shaft. In use, with a drill, it removed rust and stuck-on paint from my metal item I was cleaning. Worked really well, much better than trying to use a wire wheel arbor. Saved me having to spend many hours of trying to sand using sandpaper. I've bought another one (to have as a spare, fist one I bought still has about 75% of material left) and will continue to buy these as and when I need.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wonderful Abrasive Wheel Cleans off paint and corrosion really quick... The disc can wear out quickly if you have any sharp edges to deal with. Much better than a rotary wire brush or flap wheel

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Saved me time over wire brush needed to prep some steel for painting. Had been using wire brush (w/ drill), this did it in well under half the time and came out decent. Easy to use. 10/10 would prep with it again.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Shot blasting on your drill Great item, removes paint and rust like shot blasting without removing steel, good for flat surfaces, not so good for tight spaces because you just cannot get into them with a drill attached. Long lasting, much better life than wire brushes, I have just prepared a whole vehicle chassis on one disc! Off to buy another.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Rubbing down The wheel was softer than I expected and wore away quickly. I guess it's just an expendable product.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great paint remover Bought this to remove paint from outside concrete window ledges. Had used a wire drill brush beforehand on other ledges but this was easier, quicker and definitely more thorough. As said by other reviewers, this did slip at times when pressure put on the ledge but if you let it do the work, it removes hard paint with ease. It began to wear after continued use but I just turned it over and it was like using a new one again. Tried to buy 3 at the time as Screwfix was doing a deal but they only had 2 left. Would definitely recommend.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good for alloy wheels I bought this to remove paint from alloy wheels to then be polished. Made light work of the paint and left shallow scratches which are easier to sand that using a flap wheel. Wheel does slip if too much pressure is applied but if you let the wheel do the work you wont have an issue
