Rated 5 out of 5 by from Brilliant for under the stairs Really easy to put up, nice and light. Connection was problem free with a good quality terminal block. Light output is fine for a small space.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Lovely light. These look really smart and they give a lovely light. They're also light-weight, which makes them quick and easy to mount. They play nicely with a PIR for toilets and corridors. Reliability - I hope it's as good as claimed but I have no way of knowing.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice bright light over stairs Used as an intermediate lamp over a house stairway it looks O.K. You are not going to stand on the stairs and gaze at its beauty. Pros: Good light for low power consumption and easy to install, (except I had to add an earth to the lighting circuit). Cons: Needs an earth which isn't present in the lighting circuits of older houses. Only a 3 way terminal strip L N & E. If it fails you have to replace the whole fitting. Will a direct replacement be available in a few years time? Would I buy again? Yes

Rated 4 out of 5 by from It's . . . OK. Just to get a few of the closely-guarded secrets out of the way first, this fits flush to the ceiling, and has no footprint above it, except for the cable-entry point and your own fixings. It is not double-insulated, so it needs an earth binding. It has an internal chocolate-box connector for the L, E and N connections only – there is no separate SW connection, so you’ll need to supply it using a joint box or ceiling rose. So to the lamp itself - It’s got two main components; - the base, containing the bulb and electrics, and the ‘clip-on’ cover which acts as a diffuser. The bulb really is non-replaceable – it’s a kind of funny square thing. The light output is really quite a nice warm-white, and instantaneous too - all with 6W consumption. There’s no ~half-second switch-on delay either which some LEDs seem to suffer with. In contrast to the “000 Hours Life” quoted above (really!), the manufacturer states 30,000 hrs, so it’ll be good for a year or two to come yet. As for the quality though - I’ve seen nicer tumble out of a Christmas cracker, but once it's up it's up, and it looks just fine in service.
