Titan TTB289SDR Random Orbit Sander 230V is rated 4.1 out of 5 by 137.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy to use sander As it says in the description, very easy to fit the sanding discs. Had it out of the box and working within a few minutes. Made easy work of sanding a few boards. My only negative point is that the hard case does not easily allow for the power cord. I had to fight with this to squash it into the box. If I was in a hurry I probably wouldn't bother putting it back in the box.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Sander Good value sander, connects to my Festool dust extractor and does the job well.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Poor Dust Collection A good performing sander but let down by a poor fitting to the Dustbox/Vacumn attachment. I found the vibration causes the dustbox to fly off after a few minutes use. The same with the hoover attachment which shakes off very easily. The slide in and twist fitting is very flimsy. I returned my first purchase thinking this was a fault. Unfortunately the replacement is the same. Very frustrating as otherwise this is an outstanding sander. It means you have to use one hand just to hold the dustbox/hoover attachment in place.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Does the job well We were pleased with this for the money. It made very light work of sanding our wooden worktops ready for oiling. We had lots of water marks and these came out with relative ease. Use was self explanatory. It was also very smooth and no random marks to sand out. At first husband said I had bought entirely the wrong sander for the job but he soon quietened down, the job was finished in no time and he got down to watching the rugby again... There was quite a lot of dust but it can be connected to a vacuum cleaner for better dust removal.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Wish I had paid bit more On my second one as first one just packed in without warning, inconvenient to say least as I was on finishing sand before wax. hand finished it but as was a large piece took longer than should have. Screwfix replaced instantly though. Disappointed.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from DIY wall sandung Having embarked on a major house renovation project, I have been using a manual handheld sandung block with dust everywhere and having to clean afterwards. Then tried a belt sander which was very good but on occasion caused more damage than good. Saw this on screwfix and having previously bought a titan vacuum cleaner (my £200++ stain blew up as it could not handle the plaster rubble) which for the price does the job nicely, decided to splash out on this orbital sander. Does a great job connected to the vacuum cleaner, otherwise it blows dust hence the 4 stars. When connected to the vacuum cleaner the suction is enough to make the job a breeze but the titan hosepipe is fractionally smaller in diameter than the attachment so needs to be held in place. Reliability wise not enough use yet. It as a diyr I sure it will last.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Decent Tool Overall Leaves a very good finish - I've used this to sand walls and wood & it's always done a good job, the variable speed control definitely helps with this My only criticism is the dust collection box - this is prone to coming loose and falling off, so I've had to secure it in place with some electrical tape - it's also a bit stiff to disassemble when you want to empty it

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Reasonable sander Have purchased two of these sanders now as they perform well. However, the connection to the dust bag on both sanders has broken within a short amount of time of having the item. This being said it's a reasonable sander but if you have a large project I'd recommend getting a more versatile and better quality sander.
