Rated 5 out of 5 by from A DIY Toolset Essential After struggling for several hours with a borrowed petrol chainsaw I decided to bite the bullet and buy this electric model. It was as easy to use and setup as expected but importantly surpassed my expectation regarding performance. I brought this tool as part of my garden landscaping project. The hours I wasted hand sawing trees when this machine cuts through wood like butter in a safe, reliable fashion. The only downside of any note was the frequent need to adjust the chain tension during use to prevent it slipping off. To be fair this behaviour is forecast in the manual, with simple instructions on how to increase the tension of the chain quickly so you can be sawing again in minutes. I would recommend this chainsaw to anyone like myself looking for an easy to use, cost effective solutions to garden or wood work.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Value Chainsaw A really good buy for the price. This is the second I have bought. I wore the first one out! It uses an Oregan chain which is available at a reasonable price when you need to renew. The chain tension control is a bit fiddly but this is such a powerful electric saw that this is a small inconvenience.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great piece of equipment I already have a petrol saw which I use regularly but didn't want to annoy the neighbours cutting logs in the back garden with that so as I have purchased many Titan tools in the past, Screwfix was my first port of call. I ordered it at teatime and it arrives at 10.00 am the following day, took 5 mins to put the blade on tension and away we go. Cuts smoothly, pretty quiet and I particularly like the fact the blade stops instantly you take your finger off the trigger. This is not a feature on other electric chainsaws I have had in the past. I can't really mark reliability as I have only used it once but it went through 6inch logs like butter. At the moment I have no complaints but as always if |I do then Screwfix will sort them out quickly as always.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent saw Bought this to chop up some logs for firewood after professional tree-felling. My first chainsaw and only expect to use it occassionally. Works really well. Easy to assemble and instruction book reasonably easy to follow. Pleased with purchase.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very Cheap, Very Good Provided you are aware that you need to feed this chainsaw plenty of oil and prepared to sharpen the chain regularly you cannot go wrong for the price. Bought this as it was cheaper than hiring a petrol one for the day, used it for cutting out some 250mm square gate posts. Managed to cut down two and a third 200mm post before sharpening. I have since used it for cutting the posts up into small chunks. I have found it to be pretty good, yes you do need to sharpen regularly and top up the oil a lot, also the drive wheel area does get clogged up and needs clearing regularly but it works and for 50 quid you can't really complain considering the work it can do. Replacement chains are available now as well. The only gripe I have is that the bar seems quite flimsy and if you are going through anything substantial it does tend to bend even with no pressure, this causes the chain to not cut fantastically.
