Rated 3 out of 5 by from Clumsy float switch I bought the pump to evacuate waste water from a blocked drain. The pump sits in a temporary sump which is 33cm deep. The idea is that the pump should start working as soon as the sump starts filling - but it doesn't, as the float switch does not have enough boyancy to switch on in only 33cm. It needs nearly twice this depth for it to operate. I have got round the problem by adding extra buoyancy (corks) to the end of the switch. That said, when its starts pumping it clears the waste water effectively. If you need to operate in a relatively shallow area, then I would suggest buying a pump with a separate switch, which would give better control.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Decent water pump Bought this for emptying our hot-tub. REALLY speeds up the process hugely. Has worked great so far, getting use in about once per week over the summer, without any problems. Much cheaper than the Karcher effort, which was going to be the direction I took, having one at work which gets proper abuse. But zero complaint thus far.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Titan water pump Bought as a replacement for a lidl pump I burnt out. Was in use within half an hour of postie arriving. Works fine, and the safety cut out on the plug could be very handy if a fault develops as its in water. Used to pump water up to an old ex slurry tank to supply water for animals..

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great product This is a great product. I purchased this to assist with pumping out the water in my spa. It took around 30 min to pump out. The only issues I've got is that it don't drain all of the water out, but that is to be expected. Also the float switch needs to be right up for the pump to start. This is also not really an issue also most pumps operate the same way. That's why I gave it a 4 star rating. Well worth the money.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good Pump These types of centrifugal pumps work best when fully submerged to a depth of 200mm and more. If you are trying to remove a puddle you will have to create a sump first. This pump has been submerged for several months now and has been happily clearing rain water all this time. The only issue is that the RCD has to be reset every time there is a power outage which in our area is regularly and usually occurs when I need the pump to operate!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from water pump bought this to empty a septic tank that had filled with water, no bother with it at all, fully submerged in the tank it emptied it in 21/2 hours, well worth the money, and a good buy at the price

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good basic product Purchased specifically to aid emptying a large pool. Does exactly what it's supposed to do. Cheap, easy to set up and use. My only comment is it doesn't pump as quick as I expected using attached hoses which restrict the flow considerably. Overall great product for home use and can also be used for minor flooding.
