Titan TTB598MSW 210mm Single-Bevel Sliding Mitre Saw 240V is rated 4.5 out of 5 by 127.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Keen DIY'ER With projects at home and with at my children's houses mounting up I decided it was about time I treated myself to a sliding mitre saw. Having searched the inter web for a couple of weeks I opted for the Titan, mainly based on price as I can't justify paying several hundreds of pounds for something I will use infrequently. Ordered Friday afternoon and delivered by 9.30 next day. On opening the box the components were well packed and even for a complete novice the saw was quick and easy to assemble. Feeling slightly cautious I pressed the power button and began cutting fairly accurate bits of timber straight away. First impressions were that the saw appears well made and straightforward to use. First project completed today. As I enjoyed using the saw I will continue with the long list of jobs which is sure to keep her indoors happy. I'm pleased I bought the Titan.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Disappointed After reading the reviews I felt reasonably confident buying this item and I really wanted it work. Unfortunately the quality of the fence and design leave a lot to be desired. The fence is a single piece of aluminium and with two flat faces acting as a guide. Eventually I found that if I held a straight edge against the fence faces they were not lined up and so the accuracy of the cut was different depending on which fence you held the work against. The error obviously got worse the deeper the section you cut. As I was attempting to cut 7" (180mm) skirting this resulted in about a 5mm error. The design of the clamp left a bit to be desired as it either touched against the saw motor body or blade guard depending on what cut you were making. Also the sticker and frame markings which show the angles of cut are at best approximate. If you are cutting small stock the error in the cut is small but anything larger and it is unacceptable with mating faces being anything up to 10mm out of alignment. Not great on skirting. Overall the reality didn't live up to the expectation. I was expecting something which would give me reliable accurate cuts. It did neither so rather dissapointingly it went back.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from titan sliding bevel saw Very good for the money but I did have to lube the sliding bearings for it to work smoothly. Check trial workpieces for accurate angles with a set square and set the pointers before use. Original blade went blunt quite quickly after doing some laminate flooring so bought an erbauer blade. having said that pleased with purchase.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Ok for price Bought having read reviews and concidered guard was ok for my use. No probs so far. Cuts less accurate than expensive models I've used so bit of trial and error waste on angles occasionally but been great doing skirting for large 4 bed hoyse

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great saw. Needed a saw for my latest project, needed to do a lot of cutting and my freehand saw work not good enough so decided to try a power tool. Looked at this one and decided to try it,great price good quality and well made did all the work needed and easy to use,a laser line would have been very useful and a lot quicker, maybe the next model will have one. Overall a great bit of kit and value for money and would recommend this to any diy enthusiast .

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Bevel saw Bought this after my evolution rage 3 blade spindle snapped after only around 18 months with not a huge amount of use . This saw seems a Good price for a reasonably featured saw, good quality cuts and seems well built. Not had it long enough for reliability but if it is like my other titan tools it will last, unlike the evolution saws.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great value saw Easy to use, simple to set up, this saw provides a great solution for the day to day DIY enthusiast where extreme accuracy is not necessary. We bought this along with the Evolution 800B Mitre Saw Stand with Extension Arms. It has performed well so far with no reliability issues.
