Titan TTB598MSW 210mm Single-Bevel Sliding Mitre Saw 240V is rated 4.5 out of 5 by 115.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Cant beat the price! I needed a saw for building an outhouse. I am a keen diy'er, not a professional, so I didn't want to spend mega bucks on this but wanted something that would do the job and be useful in the future. This saw ticks all the boxes. Great value of money and, so far, very reliable. My right angles have never been so square! As well as making my project easier, (it also took a lot of the hard work out of it), it made it enjoyable too. And even though I say so myself, for a non professional, the end results looks great, thanks to the accuracy and cleanness of the cutting.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from great capacity and price Bought for the wide 310mm cut width and steal of a price. Delighted to find zero play in the slider or frame meaning the saw has the potential to cut repeated dead-accurate cuts. To get spot-on accuracy though, it is essential to realise that the fence itself is adjustable via the cap screws in the top allowing a few mm of adjustment, so make trial cuts and tweak the fence dead-on, then it's set for all future work (mucking about compensating with the angle setting instead is doomed to frustration). This feature is great and is NOT mentioned in the instruction book, also probably why other reviewers have criticised the accuracy out of the box. Screwfix selling themselves short here on this great saw, all for want of a decent manual.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Very dangerous guard The saw itself feels solid, having used other peoples saws made by better brands, the blade is decent, the power and movement are nice. The dust bag does a mediocre job, but that's forgivable for the price. The angle cut is not trustworthy, but if you mark out the wood and check each cut you can get accurate cuts. However after about 4 days of using it to cut wood for my kitchen subfloor and new floorboards (all pine) it failed. I had cut a floorboard and as I span down the blade and brought it back to its start position the safety guard hit the blade shattering it into about 20 pieces and sent flying about 30ft out the back of the saw. The worst safety mechanism I have ever seen, it was so wobbly anyway I should have expected. The worst part was the saw physically jumped as the impact with the guard was so severe. I will be saving for another, but I will wait until I can afford a much better quality item with a metal guard.
