TurboUltra Woodscrews Double Self Countersunk 5 x 80mm 100 Pack is rated 3.6 out of 5 by 141.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Not bad for the price I have used these in softwood and oak and they are ok, don't forget they are budget screws. 5x80 with a pilot hole work well but don't risk taking them out again, I did many removal tests and most of them resulted in the head shearing off. Spax are better but they cost far more.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Quality screws These screws are great for outside use but need a pilot hole and I find best to use impact driver as the heads can shear easily specially f they hit a knot or used on hardwood

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good screws My current 1st choice when it comes to screws for outside. Only issue is that you sometimes need to drill a pilot hole to prevent snapping the heads off.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Stainless steel screw Used to build a workshop with a 2"x4" timber frame. Most of them worked well; holds the frame together nicely. It was also very useful not to have to drill a pilot hole each time! You will have to drive them in dead straight, though. One little slip and you will have messed up the head of the screw making it useless. But that only happened a few times so can't complain too much!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from first letdown from screwfix stopped using after two sheared and two drives rounded even with 3mm pilot hole

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Awful Quality Selected these screws based on information and reviews, to be used to assemble softwood frames. The first 4 screws were partially driven to hold a frame in place - each one snapped when unscrewed! Resulting in wasted time and money. I repeated the exercise using a hand held driver, only to have the same results. My conclusion is that I've either got a faulty batch or the quality is appalling - I certainly wouldn't trust this product. Needless to say they're going back...

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Corrosion Resistance I've used a couple of thousand of these in outside jobs (not just this size though). I used them to make rabbit enclosures and after two years they show no signs of corrosion (see picture). They drive well into treated wood and i've only had one failure (this size) though I think I hit a particularly tough knot and the head sheared. I've also used them in rawl plugs around a pond for netting and these too have not corroded unlike some standard screws i used. The only downside of these is they are quite expensive. Can't really say much more about a screw, but if you are looking for a screw which will not deteriorate in outside conditions i recommend these A2 screws.
