Tyrem Centre-Pivot Roof Window Clear 550 x 780mm is rated 4.3 out of 5 by 7.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beautifully designed window. I managed to install this window from inside in one day to our composition slate roof. The video is very clear and enabled each step to be re-run beforehand for good familiarisation. This is backed up with the good step by step diagrams supplied. The quality of construction is very good. The only snag was needing to position frame within two courses of ridge. This did not allow full slates to be slipped back in above without first removing ridge tiles. Temporary short tiles enabled completion and did not leak with heavy rain that very evening but might fail in strong winds. Reliability should be excellent too but only fitted yesterday.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Tyrem roof windows I purchased 3 of these for a loft conversion project whilst on special offer. They worked out half the price of the Velux equivalent which I have installed before. The quality of the windows is on par with its competitors. Having the handle at the bottom of the window make for easy opening of the windows for those with a height disadvantage. The flashing kit is pretty good however does not come with a felt collar to go around the edge of the frame before installing the flashing kit. Luckily I had stock of felt or I would of been pretty miffed. I also disposed of the flimsy securing tabs and use a heavy duty staple gun instead to secure the trims to the trusses. The major downside is the fitting guide which is totally inadequate for the DIY installer. The online videos are worse than useless, and there is no technical support line. Previous experience enabled me to work out best method of fitting which takes approximately 2 hours to complete per window. Overall these widows are excellent value for money backed by a 10 year guarantee. If the flashing contained the required felt and the fitting guide was of any use (screwfix you need to sort this) I would have given 5 stars.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great new windows.... Excellent value for money, fast delivery too! I really like the handle instead of a bar, that's ok for us as we can easily reach the handles. Good quality. I can't give full marks for reliability as they have only been fitted 2 weeks!! they come with a 10 year g/tee also. Slate fixing kit is also good...... Would recommend...... Can't wait to do some stargazing...

Rated 3 out of 5 by from good product, but !!! I bought two of these because they were a good price and have a 10 year guarantee. The product is well made but basic and this is probably why its so cheap compared with some other makes. my bigest issue is with the installation support. My first problem is with the instructions enclosed with the window, its in pictorial format but crucially the pictures differ from the actual product so getting the orientation correct is a real pain. What really messed me up, is that the instructions have the measurment of the first batton supporting the window wrong, if you follow it and fit a slate flashing it comes up too short, i ignored it and fitted it closer to the bottom edge of my tiles to get it right. My other problem is with the companys web site, the videos do not work!! some are mpeg and some are tlv format (i have no idea why). You are better off going on utube and looking at the Fakro window installation, which is a similar product. I wasted hours getting this window water tight simply because there was a lack of support. So to sum up, the window is good value but a real pain to fit unless you have done one before. Next time I would seriously consider paying more for Fakro or velux.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from I can see clearly now... Good looking product, the only downside being that it has a normal window handle instead of a bar. This means that you need step ladders to open it instead of using a pole. Otherwise it's just the job.
