Varilight 1-Gang DP White Choc Switched 13A Socket with Metal Rocker is rated 2.3 out of 5 by 3.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Varilight Choc white range I was after high quality sockets and light switches and came across these. On first sight they are good quality fittings however on installing the following issues were noted; 1) If you have adaptable boxes with screw lugs on all sides these will have to be knocked flat or they do not fit. 2) Two way switching on light switches is opposite to other brands, no biggy as you just swap the cables. 3) The Choc face flats clicks into an acrylic back plate but this then looks like there is a black line or gap between the wall and face plate, got around this by painting the acrylic edge. 4) On all sockets and switches once the face plate is fitted the acrylic back plate deforms in places and leaves a 1 - 2mm gap in places between the wall and face plate, looked poor so luckily I had flexible caulk that I carefully filled the gap and then painted the same color as the wall so ok in the end. On a plus note the rocker switches have a really good feel in use. Wouldn't use these again in fact I've used much cheaper items in the past that give a much higher degree of finish, also there's to much faffing to make the finished look acceptable. Shame really the idea is good just needing some field testing to work out the issues.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A superb product I read a previous negative review about the fitting of the product. I liked the fact that I had a choice, use the longer screw, which I did or use the screw from the removed old socket. It baffles me why a product a good as this could be replaced over the size of a screw. I tried the longer screw and it also fitted perfectly so used that as it was clean and untarnished. The actual switch is a treasure, matching the 3 double sockets I also bought. I like to apply attention to detail, and this was a "no brainier"

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Disappointing If using this product to replace old sockets forget it unless your boxes are set back 6mm from the face of the plaster, the boss at the back of the socket hits the lugs on the box and prevents the socket from going back to the wall. Will need to be returned.
