Vitrex Grout Out Electric Grout Remover is rated 2.9 out of 5 by 65.
Rated 2 out of 5 by from Disappointed - shoddy quality This is a good tool but the quality and design of the bit retention mechanism is shoddy and really poor quality. I got one use out of it (changing the bit twice) before the thread stripped. The problem is the bit retention screw is steel but the chuck body is cheap alloy and so the thread strips extremely easily. It is not helped by the fact the body diameter is really too small and so there is not enough metal to play with. A few pence on a better made and slightly wider barrel would have made all the difference. I'm going to see if I can get a refund tonight. Dissapointed!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Slow, tedious and ineffective Bought this device to try and make light work of a shower area that needed re-grouting. Didn't take long to realise that it really wasnt up to the job. The tool itself has no rotating parts, but vibrates, much like a pnematic drill, in an attempt to chisel away at the grout. It comes with 2 tool heads, a spike and a chisel and both were ineffective at removing the grout on any of the 3 speed settings. I ended up using my usual grout rake (17903) to do the job, which whilst hard work got the job done. Good idea to let the neighbours know what your doing before you start using this tool; you'll know what I mean when you start it up!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good bit of kit this Job of re doing the seal round the Bath. Jumped up a notch or 3 to cleaning the grout. Having tried 1 of those saw thing's for 10 min. I decided this is going to take far to long. Checked the web site & this popped up read the Review's. This is for me. It's very easy to use, I think when the tiles were done 20 odd years ago the mix was wrong, as some cleaned up easier than. Others. The only add on for me would be being able to get New Tips for it.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not fit for purpose The tool was less effective at removing grout than a the manual grout rake. It took over 3 hours to do an area of about half a metre of large tiles. The noise & vibration are high & prolonged use is probably detrimental to your health.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not Man Enough You can buy the identical tool in one of the two German supermarkets in the UK at a fraction of the cost. If you grout is relatively soft then this tool may be fine and it will be good for removing surplus grout off tiles and in hard to get to places e.g. floor/architrave/skirting junctions. Otherwise not really much use as it is not man enough and the tools provided are basic with no abrasive on them. You can only use for 10 mins. then have to leave it for 20 mins. to cool down.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Grouty mcgroutface Good little tool takes a while to get used to how deep and how fast you can go. Use the pointy bit first to make a channel then use the flat bit to cut the sides out. As someone previously mentioned take plenty of breaks to let the tool cool down and give your hand a rest as it can get quite tingly after a while! A lot easier than raking out by hand.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Waste of time Bought this grout remover as it seemed to be what I needed, didn't go through all the reviews though, if I had I would have seen all the negatives at the end! This is about as useful as' a chocolate fireguard ' Should have returned it but packaging destroyed . please don't waste your money on this useless 'tool'

Rated 1 out of 5 by from worst tool i have ever bought absolutely useless , now I'm sceptical of most of these reviews on here , as that is the reason i chose this tool , after 4 hours it hardly removed anything , i would have removed more grout if i'd of used my finger nails .
