Webb WEH18 46cm Push Cylinder Contact Less Hand Push Lawn Mower is rated 4.4 out of 5 by 5.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Excellent for the price I work for a school with only a small area of grounds and we recently decided to bring most of our grounds maintenance operations back in-house. I wanted to avoid the COSHH/risk assessment nightmare of a petrol or corded mower, also ideally something mechanically simple and low maintenance, so decided to try this manual push mower. It was quick and easy to assemble out of the box, the cylinder requiring no adjustment, ready straight for work. Our grass had grown quite long over the summer holidays, but on it's highest setting, I could at least manage to level it all off on the initial cut. Over the following weeks I have gradually reduced the cutting height to return our lawns and verges to a neat and uniform appearance, the back roller giving a nice striped effect. The collection box picks up about 90% of the clippings so there is minimal sweeping up afterwards. Given that you don't have to mess around with cords, extension leads or petrol, and you also don't have to worry about noise, this mower is so far proving ideal for our requirements, and is also giving me a good regular workout! At the end of each mowing session, I use a small handbrush to clear any clippings off of the cylinder and mechanisms, apply a few squirts of WD40 and within a couple of minutes it can be put back in the shed ready for the next time you want to mow. If I am nit-picking - I don't think it is possible to cut on the lowest setting unless you have a totally flat lawn with very fine grass. Also, if your grass has grown too tall, the collection box does have a tendency to fall off with it being mounted in-front of the cylinder - this also limits how tight you can get into internal corners - of course you can always remove it if you so wish! Overall, for the price, this mower is excellent. I wouldn't want to mow a field with it, but for small-medium sized lawns and verges that are reasonably flat, I would highly recommend you give it a try.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from good bit of kit Gave it a whirl at the weekend and wasn't expecting much from a rotary mower having never used one, but wow, really good finish to the lawn and the grass container catches 90% of the cuttings, very easy to change the height settings and it glides over the grass with very little resistance when pushing the mower. I'm a convert to rotary mowers.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Quality mower This is a sturdy mower with good cutting action straight out of the box. The height adjuster is easy to use, and the grass box is a good size. Very easy to push along on every height except the very lowest when the rear assembly can drag on the ground on uneven lawns. Overall a very good alternative to electric and petrol mowers. Much quieter than I had expected. The build quality is good and looks like it will last. Could be a bit heavy to lift if you have any back issues, but I would still recommend it to anyone.
