Yale 6-Pin Euro Cylinder Thumbturn Lock 35-35 (70mm) Satin Nickel is rated 4.9 out of 5 by 14.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Better quality than the others I had this Yale cylinder in for over 3 years but due to heavy usage of the door the lock wore a little and would occasionally spin right round when trying to open with a key. I replaced it with the Smith & Locke version from screwfix as it was a bit cheaper than the Yale. After 2 days I went back and bought the Yale version again as it is much better quality, the thumb turn handle is bigger and easier to grip and the whole quality and action is much better and smoother. It's worth paying a little extra for this much better model.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy Peasy I thought I would need a locksmith, but looked up on line how to replace a cylinder lock in our metal door, and gave it a try. In stock at Screwfix, fetched and fitted within half an hour. Result a much more secure door at a fraction of my expected cost. Wonderful!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great value for a good lock Probably the best value thumb turn lock. 6pin and Yale with a price that's good value. Nice quality turn and feel to the lock. Don't bother with less pin locks..

Rated 5 out of 5 by from one good turn... Nice solid construction, good action. Unlikely to break in half like the one it replaced.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Worth the extra money There are two reasons why I purchased the lock. The main reason was for safety, so we could leave the house very fast in an emergency, as the original version you needed a key to open the door and you know the issue with keys, you can't find them when you need them, never mind in an emergency! The second reason, the original replacement was the cheaper version offered by Screwfix, which does not have the same key locking/opening action, plus it failed after a couple of years. The key operation in the Yale is very positive, plus it has built in safety options from break in etc. The whole feel and look of the lock is better. This type of lock can be fitted in less than a couple of minutes with just a screwdriver, by anyone! Just undo the holding screw in the edge of the door, turn the lock a few degrees to align the latch and it pulls out and then fit the new lock! The easiest DIY job other then changing a light bulb!
