Yale HSA6200 Wireless Alarm Kit is rated 4.3 out of 5 by 68.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good Basic Alarm & Good Price This is a good basic “peace of mind” alarm system suitable for a small house, flat or shed etc. that can be easily installed by a competent DIY handy person. The tools I used were: A small Phillips head screwdriver (mine was a magnetic type from a Halfords socket set) a set of jeweller's screwdrivers-using the small flat blade one to actuate the siren DIP switches but also useful for removing the keypad rear cover and replacing the 2032 lithium battery in around 18 months time. A decent, ideally rechargeable hammer drill with a set of masonry drills including a small one as a pilot (the siren fixing isn't adjustable and must be accurately drilled) along with a 6mm for the long screws wall plugs-with a 6.5mm to open up the hole to about 5mm depth for the plug screw entry shoulder so that they sit tight in the brick with a fairly light tap with a pin hammer. By the way, do invest in some safety glasses and you need some decent high steps if it's a firm level surface or some extending ladders-the siren needs to be as high as possible on an external wall. Read through and follow the instructions in exact order-I made an A4 card template for the siren fixings, levelled it and gaffer taped it to the wall ensuring that the drill holes and the wall switch spring were clear of the mortar. Set up the siren-I put mine with the back facing into a small plastic waste bin/Holsten ice bucket so as not to disturb the wall switch-just in case! Learn in the other bits as described including the HSA6060 key fob-a worthwhile optional extra that Screwfix stock at a good price. Carefully fit the siren and ensure the smart bright yellow cover is hooked under the siren back plate before doing up the fixing screw. Check the chosen wall area with a cable/pipe checker before fixing the PIR sensors-if like me you find cables and pipes, clean the wall area and the PIR with Tesco lemon wipes, leave to dry then use Gorilla Heavy Duty Mounting Tape, first on the unit then cut and trim with some old but sharp scissors and firm it well to the unit, remove the pesky backing (take a deep breath and pick away at the corners before finally pulling it off-remember: patience is a virtue!) then carefully line it up and press it firmly in place 2 metres up from the floor. BTW this stuff sticks like s**t to a blanket and it isn't moveable or removable-if there's wall paper forget it and find another suitable spot etc. The door/window switches need to be very close and perfectly aligned, with UPVC that has chamfered or contoured frames that will need hard packing say, hard plastic again using the Gorilla stuff as before. Before mounting though, rather than hand holding the switch and magnet in place use Blu Tack for checking-ensure any residue is cleaned of before fixing.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Yale HSA6200 Wireless Alarm So easy to pair the devices with the alarm box, no ridiculous programming simply open them up on your kitchen worktop, press pair on everything in order and away you go, install where desired and put the covers back on, tamper feature reactivates - Job done :-)

Rated 3 out of 5 by from you get what you pay for Its ok for the money but a couple of major floors ive found, 1st..you have to press hard on the buttons to set it and need to be near the bell box to hear it beep to make sure its set as sometimes it dosnt set when you press the button, The main downfall is the delay before it goes off, you cant seem to change it and it takes so long to go off a burglar could grab allsorts and get away before it goes off, Theres also a 20 second delay before it sets but its silent and would be good if it made the usual beeping sound other alarms make while setting so at least you would know its set ok. I must point out its not scew fixes fault tho as they gave excellent service as usual.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Wireless Alarm. Bought and checked through the details fully, decided to return and buy the more expensive 6400 model with an internal sounder in the key pad and a rechargeable battery back up. This model has now been bought and fitted, it is excellent.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very simple to install and goo I bought this to protect my garden office/workshop after a couple of local shed burglaries and installed it in an hour (in the dark) the other night. The setup was very easy and the instructions pretty clear. The lack of wires made the whole job simple. The alarm is sufficiently loud to alert people nearby and did start the local dogs barking when I set it off to test it. The small handset is very useful and I can set and unset the alarm from the conservatory. Hopefully I will never know if it's an effective deterrent to potential thieves, but it feels like money well spent. For the price I thought it was remarkably good value. I have marked it 5* but obviously too early to know about reliability.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great for garages & sheds Had an issue with some little scrotes trying to burgle my shed & garage which are separate to the house. Fitted one of these and found it a piece of cake. Now all my sheds & garages are alarmed with both door & PIR sensors. System is expandable up to 20 sensors & fobs. Fitting took me about an hour in total. Instructions say up to 30 metre range which works fine for most gardens. Would also be an easy system to fit in the home but you would need a few more sensors. Overall I'm very happy with it. Well done Yale for a great system & well done Screwfix for a great deal on price.
