Rated 5 out of 5 by from A little life saver Excellent product for using as a slip coupler to fit over a burst section if pipe. Also really usefull purely as a slip coupler when there is no play in the pipe once you have cut a section out.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Classic Repair Situation Solve Very useful to help a neighbour who had drilled through radiator feeds under bathroom floor while fitting new WC. Where else can I get things like this on a Sunday afternoon? Pipes were under tiles and concrete, so it took me a couple of hours of slogging to expose enough space to cut new ends on undamaged pipe and be able to get grips in. Due to wet room fitting, I had a waste and two shower feeds crossing over the top too. There was no end float on the pipes at all, so these joints were my only hope. I didn't even have enough lateral movement, so I needed a standard connector on each pipe too. These only come with standard compression instructions. It is not obvious that they have a short end (with a pipe stop) and a long end (which you have to slide over the pipe first), and then tighten the short end first.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from GBH1970 Found this online after drilling through a central heating pipe! What a lifesaver. Was able to cut out damaged area of pipe and make a good quality repair in no time. Thank you!! I've bought another to keep in my toolbox just in case i'm that stupid again!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fixed a leak quickly! After screwing through a water pipe fixing some floorboards this was perfect for a quick fix. It isn’t bulky like other compression fittings so will fit into a smaller space. Was easy to fit, to be extra safe I used PTFE tape on the threads. No leaks first time.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from An excellent idea I recently installed a new radiator and piping and had no play in one of the pipes. I bought this fitting and I was able to just slide it in place, line up the pipes, slide it over the join and tighten up the nuts. Excellent product. I keep a spare in my toolbox now.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Useful item to have around Far more than just a repair item. A very versatile compression joint, fits into the more difficult situations. Main body of this joint moves along one of the pipes to allow easy fitment. Main secxtion has good spanner flats. Once trightened with the olives the joint becames firm and no longer moveable.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent product Bought this to repair a very small leak in a cold water pipe under the landing floor. Initially tried to repair the leak with a solder-on pipe repair patch. This would have been OK but I didn't realise until after I had cut the pipe to fit this that there was still water in the pipe, therefore the solder wouldn't take. After cutting the length of pipe out including the part-soldered repair patch, it was a very simple matter to fit this item and I wished I had used it in the first place. The fact that it basically has an adjustable length by inserting one pipe inside as far as required makes this a very versatile piece of kit. Fitting instructions are included. The only issue I had was that I was unable to tighten up the nuts the one and a quarter turns recommended. Nevertheless, the seal proved leak-proof. I wonder if anyone else had this problem?
