Drayton Digistat + Room Thermostat is rated 3.5 out of 5 by 27.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy to use replacement My old room thermostat finally gave in so I looked for a replacement. I settled on this one as it is a straight two wire connection so was easy to replace for the similarly wired old one. The new one has a nice look too with the digital display for a more precise temperature.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from No back light. Not recommended Although it was quick and easy to fit as a replacement the digital display has no backlight so to see the display I need to use a torch. My heating engineer tells me that as it requires batteries when the batteries run out the unit stops working so the heating will not operate. So if I go on holiday in the winter I could have a frozen house on return. Therefore I would not recommend this.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Thermostat Great little digital thermostat did a straight swap from a old Drayton analog model easy diy job and much more accurate at a decent price point

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good product I used this to replace a similar 10 year old unit. It is much better design and was easy to install. Great price too.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Easy fit stat Replaced old style bi metallic thermostat. Not very reliable. This stat was a simple 2 wire connection. Setting up straightforward with supplied instructions. Now temperature is more stable. No peaks and troughs in room heat.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Avoid at all cost Moved into a new property with an old worn stat (covered in paint / dust the works). I needed a two wire no volt to the contact stat and this was the answer. It was very straight forward to install but then came the problems. The stat would be set to say 21 and climb to 21.5. The boiler light would then come on and it would run for 6 minutes before turning off. On and off on and of every 6 minutes. Is it a faulty boiler I thought so I called them and they said no as the stat turns is the unit demanding the heat.. so why was it turning on so much and when it was above the required temp?? So I did so research online and it turns out rather then just reading the room temp and turning the boiler on and off it wants to be clever. It tries to learn a pattern by doing these test cycles in stages. So for example. Day 1.. If you set it to 22 it will run these 6 minute short bursts to see how long it takes to heat up. It will then use this information in the future.. oh last time it was 22 it took x amount of minutes so I need to run the boiler this long. The problem is its a long and complicated process, plus if you remove the batteries it resets the process / same if you change temp. This is why the temp is always off by about 2 degrees... You can set it to 22 but you'll get more like 24.. so you change it down to 20 thinking you will get 22 but the room temp doesn't fall quick enough so your left with cold rads for hours at a time...

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Feature Rich Good build quality, simple installation, unfortunately the temperature is around 2° on the high side so consequently setting a preferred heat level is a tad hit and miss, also they could have spent an extra few pence on illuminating the display
