Franke Ascona Sink Mounted Mono Mixer Kitchen Tap Silk Steel is rated 3.4 out of 5 by 58.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice tap Nice tap but a year or so on don't ask Screwfix for replacement valves to fit the tap because they don't stock them, that's poor!!!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Started to leak after 2 years Lovely beautiful tap - but has now started to leak after two years of normal residential use. Disappointing

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not worth the money This tap lasted almost exactly two years before it started dripping. My plumber tells me it is not possible to repair it, and it must be replaced. I am disappointed. I bought the Franke brand in the hope that it would prove more durable, but do not now think it was worth the extra money. Now I will buy a cheap unbranded replacement at half the cost, and at least if it goes after two years I won't care as much.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Impressive tap Has lovely tails, 10 mm, and at WP 3.2 Bar the flow is copious though bubbly. Has reduced a lot of irritating splashing on clothes and surrounds. Careful if you have <1 Bar pressure (or >5). Cut off is nearly perfect (goodbye to dribbles). Very solid feel around the valves. Male and female tap connections ideally 27 - 28 cm beneath the bracing plate, but you can easily bend or loop the tails for closer pipework, best avoided. The supplied bracing works well on metal sink, no need for the additional Franke part or copper tails, though either would rescue any more wobbly situation. Will buy a 2nd one for the other place.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Avoid - Developed Drip From a brand like Franke you'd expect a quality product that would stand the test of time. Firstly the tap can be very loose with the associated Ascona Steel Sink and you need to get an additional clamp (at cost) from Franke to secure the tap correctly. Secondly the tap developed a drip 1 year and 3 months after purchase and the product only comes with a 1 year guarantee. Whilst the product looks nice and functions as you'd expect, for the price it costs you'd expect something that didn't require you to pay extra to fit to the same brand sink and for it to fail after just over a year is unacceptable. Will avoid Franke in the future

Rated 3 out of 5 by from You get what you pay for So the tap has been fine for the best part of 2 years but has been developing more play in the head and recently a valve has gone causing it to drip. It doesn't get massive use as we have a dishwasher and live in a soft water area so a ceramic valve should last longer than this. The quality doesn't seem to be there and possibly why they only give a 1 year guarantee rather than 5 years that others offer.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Avoid - unmaintainable Great looking tap, but started to drip after 18 months. No problem, I thought - just change the cartridge. That's when the trouble starts - you can't get a socket onto it as the nut is an unusual shape - circular with two flats. You can't get a spanner on it as the cartridge is sunk into the body of the tap! Looked online and lots of people have had the same problem - tried the recommended vice-grip and spanner method, and I now have two perfectly rounded off cartridges. Will have to buy a new tap. For the price I'd have expected a more intelligent design.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Leaking Had this tap in for about 18 months, but recently started dripping constantly. Very poor for something of this price. Looks like this is happening to many people based on the reviews on the website, manufacturing fault?
