Rated 5 out of 5 by from A good solid item Gives a accurate reading and can be locked in position for further readings

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good value for £20 I'm a home DIYer with a tendency to OCD so I like to be precise and this micrometer does exactly what I need for £20. I’m not sure what more a dearer one would deliver to me. I have one small niggle. When I got it home the flimsy plastic case was slightly broken and I glued it back together rather than drive back into town and swap it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Quality Product Nice smooth action, accurate - which is most important and good value. I needed a micrometer of this size to check the thickness of my motorcycle brake disc. It does the job perfectly.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Prefer digital Very good gauge, but I would have prefered a digital unit as you can "freeze" the reading and remove it from the article to read later - not so with this type. Not a negative about this product (it's good) but should have bought a digital one for my application.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Does what it says on the tin Needed a way of accurately measuring some engine valve shims (for example they are 2.24/2.26/2.28mm). I already have a vernier gauge but it cannot do this level of accuracy, for a relatively cheap tool this has done the job and seems to be very accurate. Might not be the sort of tool that gets loads of use but very handy for that odd measuring job if you want to be very accurate.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Excellent value Nicely made, 'silky' feel to the mechanism, anvils parallel and appear to be carbide tipped. Seems accurate to better than 0.03mm over the 25mm range. Better than I expected at this price.
