Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wow What a fabulous piece of kit ,bought it to trim base of a door lining before tiling a floor but it’s uses seem endless. A must in every serious tradesman tool bag.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent! It was this or the quick change one, I went for this. Even though you have to use a supplied allen/hex key to loosen the blade clamp, it means you get the LED joblight, which, to be honest, is more usaeful than being able to change the blade once every week, maybe you'll loose the key, but it's fairly standard. One thing to note is, though that it takes a bit of force to tighten the blade clamp as it can become loose when it's on full chat, due to the vibrations/oscillations.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from weak point in the makita range i've been collecting the makita cordless powertools for a renovation project so this seemed like a no brainer. Good reviews, just what I need for cutting plasterboard for electrics and a bit of detail sanding work. So I am sad to say this does not reach the level of quality that I had come to expect from Makita. I have had 2 now and both failed within a few days of new by the spline slipping when using bladed tools. I suspect this is a particular batch (purchased feb 2019) as there are so many other good reviews?

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great purchase Picked this up as I had some locks and concealed closers to cut into hardwood door frames. Saved loads of time with this, it's more than paid for itself on this job and I'm sure I'll be using it again soon.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent tool Excellent for removing old windows, door frames etc and fitting replacements, particularly avoiding damage to surroundings. Brilliant for getting in tight corners. Never used a multi-tool before and amazed how quickly and neatly it cuts through timber, nails etc; even used it to neatly cut some housings in brick! Usual Makita high quality.
