Manrose QF100H 5W Quiet Fan Bathroom Axial Extractor Fan w/Timer/Humidistat is rated 2.5 out of 5 by 11.
Rated 2 out of 5 by from Poor reliability Once, I used to swear by Manrose fans, but now I swear at them. This model failed very quickly - not in terms of extraction, but the timer and humidstat functions no longer work. Extraction rate/performance is great, but the extra features I paid for ended up failing very quickly. I've noticed the build quality of Manrose is not so good and other Manrose fans (in en-suite and downstairs cloakroom) have also failed. I won't use this brand again.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from touch n go my electrician advised me to get this fan as it was quiet so I did for the spare cloakroom toilet - it was Great - you'd have to hold your ear against the unit to hear it. I was so impressed I bought one to replace the new unit I just installed in the bathroom and guess what - As noisy as the one I replaced.. so it touch n go if you get a quiet model or not. Shame that as I've read others received noisy ones. Maybe not as noisy as other market brands but def not what I ordered. Its an electrical installation so not as easy to take down and return to shop. Rather disappointed actually...

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fab Fan This certainly lives up to the description. Quiet as a mouse. A quick and easy replacement for our old Manrose (well almost). This being the latest model & ours is about 12years old. New, slightly smaller and a whole lot neater. Not the space inside for the wires, but got there in the end. Like I said, I am, a great fan of this fan.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works well for me I admit they are fiddly to set up, and very small tweeks are needed over a week or so to get it right, and when the weather changes you need to tweek again, but once you get it right they are brilliant, you just need time and patience, I swear by them and have fitted several.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from 2nd one bought - both fine Found previous reviews bit off putting. Came across one of these fans and seemed to work well and very quiet. Fitted one at home - no adjustment made - all fine. Happy so far.. Second fan fitted to ceiling.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Poor humidistat, gets noisy with time Per the other reviews, impossible to get humidistat working properly. I found removing the internal plastic cover over the sensor helped a little, but not much. then stopped working at all. Kept using in timer mode but has become more and more noisy over 1.5 years. Do not buy.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from As per the other reviews... I bought two of these when they first came on the market, before Screwfix stocked them I should add. The plus points being the low power and low noise. Having used a Humidistat controlled Manrose fan before, I expected it to work in a very similar way (the old version had an external knob that could be tweaked to adjust the trigger level and has worked faultlessly for years in another house). However, as the other reviewers say the trigger on this model is a complete nightmare - I've spent hours trying to tweak them to get it to come on and then turn off once the humidity has dropped (checking the level with another gadget). I think the issue lies with the fact that the adjustment potentiometer is such a small diameter that by making a seemingly 'tiny' adjustment actually makes a very large change to the pot value, unlike on the old one which had a proper knob where a few degrees in either direction were possible. I had eventually found a sweet spot where it worked well but then as the seasons changed and the indoor background humidity rose or fell I was back to the situation where they either never came on or never went off, then having to faff about on a stool to take the cover off and adjust. I don't think it is a genuine issue with the hysteresis of the electronics (although on the old one there was a distinct on/off spot, on the QF the control seems to have more of a delay before anything happens), more just a compromised design keeping everything inside the casing to make it look more elegant. Unfortunately that compromise means the humidistat control is wasted - however the low power and low noise means that even leaving it on continuously (in a bathroom) isn't such a big problem - just annoying that it doesn't work as well as the older models. One day I might get round to modifying it to make it easier to adjust without disassembling it...

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Disappointing Bought for the humidistat function, but couldn't find a setting that would work at all: either it wouldn't ever turn on, or it turned on but would never turn off (ran for over 24hrs). Decided to resort to using it in timer mode, but even then it wouldn't turn on with the lights. Not faulty though as when initially turned on from the isolator the fan runs for a while. I'm returning for a refund, and will get an Expelair or VentAxia instead.
