Marshalltown M814 Plastic Mud Pan 13" is rated 4.2 out of 5 by 11.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Cleaner and easier filling I did look at some of the reviews but that didn’t help me to decide to purchase but I had seen someone use on YouTube and thought I must have one of them. Over the years I have done lots of patch up and use a piece of wood to hold my filler or a paint kettle. Both will do the job but not like this . First you can hold it across the palm of your hand for comfort , plus making it easier and quicker to put material on your filling knife by Taking the material to the knife . Scrapping and cleaning off you filling knife is natural with the sides made for this. Believe me once you purchase one of these and get used to using , it will be one of those items you will use all the time. Ideal for plasterers , painters , snaggers , general builders and diyers .

Rated 3 out of 5 by from metal pan would be better.. Would suggest going for a metal pan if you’re using metal tools, if you’re heavy handed you quite easily get burrs of blue plastic in your mud. Perhaps lack of experience but this wouldn’t be an issue with a metal pan.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from mud pan found good value for money, was happy had scraper blades both sides so can be used left or right, fits to hand nicely, does the job perfectly. wont last as long as a stainless steel one but is fine for the cost.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Mud pan review I would not recommend this product, as when mixing plaster in the mud pan with a 8" knife I found there were blue strands of plastic with the plaster mix. I would advise spending a little more and purchasing a aluminium mud pan.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Marshalltown Plastic Mud pan Really pleased with this this. It a nice fit for holding in one hand and the metal blades for scrapping of the your spreader, make plastering much more enjoyable. It's a well made and cleans easily, like new for your next job. When you first get it I recommend that you look over it carefully for any bits of plastic residue from the mould.making. Also when mixing the plaster or just plain scraping it up, be careful as I found I was getting bits of the blue tub on my walls. After several uses though they stopped appearing. Marshalltown do make a metal one also, but that is joined together by rivets, for that reason I prefer this plastic one. Once you use it, you will wonder how you ever got by with out one.
