MK 1-Gang TV/FM Coaxial Socket White is rated 3.8 out of 5 by 36.
Rated 2 out of 5 by from Disappointing and non-shielded Although the fascia looks neat with a downward angled facing socket and matches other MK logic sockets, that's about the only good points. It's cheap plastic at the rear, contacts via a PCB. Crucially it's non-shielded too. The centre pin connects by friction rather than a screw terminal. For anyone wanting quality and shielded connections (a must for professional installs) this is a no-no.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Don’t buy Do not buy this product. Fitting is unecessarily complicated. My signal is great when put directly into the TV but the moment you connect this socket you will get issues as the design is so poor.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from disappointing MK product Another item that has worked absolutely fine over the last 70 years, that some-one now thinks needs re-designing, and came up with this crazy set-up that I struggled with laying on the floor in a dark inaccessible corner. But to be fair I'm not getting any younger and I guess a younger person with good eye-site and better dexterity could have managed it in less time, BUT it works !

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Aerial socket Good quality product as you would expect from MK.not the cheapest but probably still the best.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Good ideas bad execution Great design on the angled connection But unfortunately as many others have stated the connection at the back is poor design Being able to secure the central core with a screw would be much better and more reliable The clamp is also in a bad position considering the angles it forces the cable to be put in

Rated 5 out of 5 by from aerial socket Nice and neat with an angled entry good piece of kit.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good quality but poor design I paid extra fro MK quality, unfortunately the design is poor. You have to push the centre wire into the fitting, then somehow get the outer under the clamp. Do do this the clamp needs to come out and when pushed back it tends to push the strands out. But worst is the positioning of the cable. It might be OK in a new installation where you can choose the entry point, but it is at the bottom of the fitting and enters horizontally. However the cable usually enters the box vertically from below the floor or down the wall from above. This means it has to be bent at a sharp angle and tends to lose the contact. In all not impressed

Rated 4 out of 5 by from good quality Good quality and well designed a tad expensive but required to allow clearance where a standard TV outlet did not.
