Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great product used correctly PLEASE NOTE - This product is not for raking out old mortar!!! After you build your wall you will then use this product to rake out the mortar to form a style of pointing called ''recessed pointing''. Great product used correctly.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from good buy bought this chariot to do recessed pointing with and was excellent for the job lightweight but sturdy and at roughly 8 quid was a bargain

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works fine on old lime mortar Whilst I wouldn't want to use this to rake out modern cement mortar (I think it would be very hard work) I have found it fine for use on old, soft lime mortar, which is what I bought it for, If you're not sure (and I was considering getting an angle grinder) try raking a bit of your mortar with an old nail or similar. If it crumbles easily then this is going to work just fine and wont risk damage to your bricks.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Useless This didn't work on lime mortar and was a pointless buy.
