White & Chrome Radiator Union Valve Tail 15mm 2 Pack is rated 2.8 out of 5 by 38.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Waste of time and money Well, it seemed like a good idea at the time...but when I came to fit this to allow me to replace an imperial radiator with a narrower modern one, I found that both of the tails in the pack leaked from the sliding seal. A delay in starting the project will probably mean I'm too late to claim a refund. Avoid this product and resort to the old fashioned method - brute force.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great product Very easy to fit all done in 10 min, really like the flexibility and great value for the money

Rated 1 out of 5 by from It leaks - bit rubbish really. Yes - they leak where the pipe slides within the nut at each end. If you must use one, use PTFE tape around the chrome pipe section. That seems to bodge it.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Rubbish! THEY LEAK!!!! Absolute garbage, leak on telescopic joint also tightened one into a new radiator and it SNAPPED! Luckily just managed to get the snapped part out of the radiator. Would never buy these again caused me loads of hassle and Screwfix should stop selling them. NOT HAPPY!!!!!!!!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from waste of my money and time I saw these on the site and thought what a great idea, I had a job to do for a client that involved fitting 3 slightly smaller radiators in place of 3 slightly larger ones, problem solved and no need to drain the system to alter the pipe tails leading to the rad valves, I priced the job accordingly so. Come the day of the work I purchased 3 pairs of these extenders and fitted them. Every one of them leaked! I then had to drain the system and alter the pipework at a cost to myself. Dreadful product, avoid at all costs!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Hand if right size Bought this to allow me to fit new metric sized radiator in place off imperial sized one.Seemed like a good idea to save having to alter pipework Found that the valve tail fitted into the radiator OK but the connection on the valve tail (22mm) was too large for the Danfoss TRV (15mm)fitted to the pipework Perhaps this should be noted in the product description

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Does the job. The part does the job provided you use plenty of pipe sealer. It must be totally in line with the rad fittings to avoid weeping. Just how reliable the fitting is ongoing only time will tell.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from It leaks Basically there is one fatal flaw in this product: it leaks. It leaks where the screws slide along the pipe. All of them leak. Out of four I bought every single one leaks. Some leak on both sides even! So, why give it 5 stars? Because for some reason the reviews are coming up "Highest rated first" instead of the normal "Newest first". So I've given it 5 stars in the hope someone will read this instead of buying this product accidentally like I did. Obviously this was once a good product, but no longer. Go to the top and sort by "Newest first" and you will see all the results are bad until mid 2012 after which all the reviews are good. In summary: don't buy it - IT LEAKS.
