Rawlplug Hollow Wall Anchors M4 x 40mm 20 Pack is rated 4.3 out of 5 by 35.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Much improved Anchors I wanted were next day delivery and I needed them today! Last time I used Rawlplug anchors 50% of them stripped their threads so since then have used a different make. However, needs must, so I tried them and they were perfect. In fact better than the ones I had been using. Either they’ve improved them, or I bought a bad batch before ( 3 years ago). These are more expensive and have a slightly longer collar before the expansion part, but they compressed easily, and the screw tightened, so happy.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fitting is a doddle! I have used these to fit everything into hollow walls. Must use the setting tool tho or it's a hassle, with a tool just a dream. The built-in washer in the new design is a good move forward but on some of the larger ones you can't fit them into the setting tool. With these, I use 7mm drill bit not 8mm as recommended.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great fixing I have just fitted 26 of these to hold a ceiling mounted curtain track to plaster board. I use a 8 mm bit and a setting tool. Easy, clean strong fixing and track can be removed in the future for decorating. I would certainly recommend a setter if fitting more than a couple.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Anchor worked well used to anchor an Ikea bookcase to a hollow wall. Anchor was fitted with a fixing tool and produced a secure job. My favourite for hollow wall anchorage with light load,

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Hollow wall anchors M4x40mm Very strong fixing in plaster board and I have also used in stramit as I had read in forums you get a good fixing in stramit with these felt strong enough when in and bracketing for shelving on giving it a good yank to check it but only time will tell in this god awful stuff .

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Mehhh... I have been using hollow wall anchors for years, usually buying the Screwfix own make. Yes there always seem to be the odd one that doesn't work correctly however in a pack of twenty of these 'brand' wall anchors, four of them completely failed me... I use a Rawlplug heavy duty setting tool to fit the wall anchors, and all of them sat and fixed without problem, however the four that failed all did the same thing, that was they screwed in all the way however there was no pressure when screwed home, the defective ones wouldn't screw tight, just carried on turning and turning. I have seen this before however not on the scale of the Rawlplug anchors, therefore I will continue to buy the Screwfix ones as to me they seem more reliable. Incidentally the Rawlplug anchors that didn't fail all worked fine..

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Astonishing invention I had to reattach 2 metal stair bannister brackets to a plasterboard wall after they came loose using standard plastic plasterboard plugs. What a difference! Super easy to fit using the applicator tool 8449G. Solid beyond belief, better than fixing into a brick wall in my opinion.
