Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Tools Been using Titan Tools since they hit the market. Personally i think they are all the best priced tools on the market. They all come with the usual features with a quality build. My most recent purchase being this drill. Knocked out a dozen 25mm diameter holes 250mm deep with an auger bit with no problems at all. As a regular DIYer i have no doubts it will last as long as i have has all my other Titan Tools. Thanks Screwfix for a great range of tools at a great price.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Chuck defect The drill is excellent but let down by the chuck. I bought the drill 2 years ago and only used it a few times. Always had a problem with chuck release. Now it's jammed solid with a drill bit it. DON'T BUY

Rated 3 out of 5 by from A good drill - a bad chuck I needed a new masonry drill to carry out some minor work in my garden - nothing to taxing, so I didn't think twice about buying a cheaper drill than a named brand. I thought if it does the few jobs I have lined up then that'll be worth it. The drill seems sturdy enough, with plenty of power and speed controls, but the chuck has seriously let it down. It didn't even last one job before it failed to hold a bit securely. On normal drill it's not so much of a problem, but on percussion drill the chuck repeatedly slips and the drill bit either gets stuck, or seriously scored by the spinning chuck. I tried changing the chuck for a keyed one, but can't get the original one off.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Faulty out of box I purchased on strength of reviews on here. First impressions weren't good as the metal catches on moulded case were very stiff to open. The drill was big and heavy and switches didn't look robust. I quickly discovered the hammer action switch didn't work. It clicked into place but no change in drill action. It was in my ownership for 60 minutes including time taken to return to Screwfix for refund.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent value Plenty powerful, reliable and well built. I have been using it for few years around the house and in the workshop and can cope with anything you throw at, it can even become a grinding/polishing station if you fabricate a suitable bracket. I partially agree on some previous reviews about the chuck, it can sometime be difficult to open but it never let me down (to this date...). Of course a Bosch or a Makita will be better and if I was using it every day I'd be buying something that could withstand more abuse but for one fourth of the price I'm really satisfied.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Chuckling NOT Great drill , let down by chuck. First purchase the chuck jammed after using it on hammer setting refusing to release drill bit . Returned drill which screwfix replaced without quibble . A few hours of use later the same thing happened , this time after drilling some steel plate and the bit is still stuck in there . Will be returning first thing tomorrow along with my Titan breaker which also gave up the ghost today with a broken gearbox , this was a replacement item also... will be requesting a refund on both items and avoiding Titan in the future
