Rated 1 out of 5 by from Stopped after 10 minutes The machine appears very good value fur what you pay, unfortunately for me the engine seized after 5 minutes despite correctly assembling it and ensuring the mix was as described. I had bought titan products before and found them to be super so guessing this was bad luck. A silver lining to the experience was that Screwfix took the item back and refunded me without any quibble.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good power tool and will get lots of use Good power tool and will get lots of use, excellent value. Only downside was part of the carry strap was not sewn so i could not put it on until it was fixed but i was able to fix this myself no problem. I'd say it was a once off and is not a reflection of the quality of the product overall.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Not too bad at all for the money This was purchased because I was fed up with trying to fix my far more expensive Husqvana 129RJ The Husqvana was 3 times the price and has serious starter design flaws. I read all the negative reviews and took a chance. Vibration? Yes a little but not too bad. Weight? Sure its not a lightweight and you do need to sort out a good strap but I find its fine for an hour or so. And yes in the first few days of use a few bolts and screws became loose - in some cases I needed to replace with nylon locking nuts which cures the problem. Non of these fails was in my view a danger although I did use the machine with extra care after reading the negative reviews - so far I only run it an hour at a time for reasons of caution. In my view this is not a model for someone who is a DIY fail, on the other hand if you are used to maintaining your childs push bike and do not mind sorting out a few minor teething issues, checking stuff is tightened up properly etc then it seems to be fine, powerful and great value for money, Example issue - little pop-up locating pin for keeping handle in fixed position inside compression sleeve which attaches it to main body. Mine broke - result is that whilst handle is firmly clamped it can now revolve in the sleeve rather than stay fixed. DIY solution is easy to anyone with a few ordinary tools, double sided tape wrapped around handle before tightening sleeve around it would most likely hold it rigidly for life. Strimmer is very powerful and does the job. I found no problem with starting but the instructions do need following carefully - I suspect some negatives may be from people who are not following instructions. The build quality is an odd mix between heavy and sturdy and flimsy - the plastic handle containing the controls is light weight and I treat it with care, in contrast the main engine assembly, cover and mount are very sturdy although I take care with the petrol tank after reading one negative review. So far this has been more reliable than my Husqvana which was a nightmare from day ( 2 years ownership - many days chasing dealers and getting annoyed - about 8 hours of actual use due to badly designed starter mechanism ) So if you spent your youth tinkering with the odd 50cc bike engine, know one end of a screw driver from another and do not mind a little simple care and maintenance then I would recommend this. Read the negative reviews and treat what seems to be a sturdy machine with a few flaws with a little care and hopefully benefit from a good work horse - otherwise spend 3 times as much but probably avoid the Husqvana model I mention which I believe was a design fail ). Problem in my view after using petrol strimmers for ten years ( I used to own a large campsite ) is that even the pricey models can be extremely unreliable and fiddly - I am not convinced by the argument that spending more gives better quality so this model fits well in my world.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice and will get lots of use Bought a week ago. Arrived with some plastics broken which Titan replaced immediatly without quibble which is top class from Titan. Good power from the brushcutter and will get lots of use, so well pleased, and its course excellent value. Oddly, it's a touch hard to start when warm but that's ok.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fantastic machine I bought this a couple weeks ago and have only used once. However having used several other models over the previous years I have found this one fantastic for the price. The body strap really helps.
