Tesla Titanium Immersion Heater Element 27" is rated 3.9 out of 5 by 53.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from As hoped The element fitted in the old slot very well, and has worked for a couple of months now, and is run every day from the solar panels on the roof. One thing to note is that I left the temperature cutoff at the default setting (something like 70 degrees). Unfortunately when this inevitably tripped due to the hot and sunny weather, it also tripped the RCD. I didn't notice this until I failed to get hot water! This is just something to note, and doesnt detract from the unit which has worked perfectly. Having said that, I'd like to have seen the inards updated to make the trip state obvious from the outside, and make the electrical connections easier to make. I guess it was originally designed 50 years ago and why change now eh?

Rated 5 out of 5 by from In hot water again!! Of course performance and reliability will only be proved in time but I was pleased to find the titanium one because we have very hard water The old ones can prove to be very tight and not being a professional I didn't possess the correct box spanner so I used a 3' record clamp and used it like a large king dick spanner. It's also great that there's a thermostat fitted and partly wired up

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Failed after 16 months Well it worked well for 14 months and then failed and the warranty was 12 months. I would not buy this brand again. Built in obsolescence?

Rated 1 out of 5 by from VERY DISAPPOINTING Bought this when previous immersion heater failed it was a nightmare to fit replacement so I wanted a reliable long lasting one. Has failed after a year, literally just out of guarantee!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Rubbish The thermostat is faulty and cuts out once a day- element seems fine but a number of reviews say the same- suggest you stay clear and disappointed that this hasn't been dealt with. I guess I will source another thermostat and sort it out, but really, why should I have to? very poor indeed.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good Product Old copper unit packed in after 15 years service. Decided to replace it with this higher quality titanium version. Old unit hard to remove but this new one went in no problem. Just required wiring after that. Working perfectly; hopefully will get at least 15 years out of this one! Product looks good quality and comes boxed complete with instructions and seal. I have no issues recommending. Obviously can't comment on reliability yet but value seems fair.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from A quiet immersion An immersion designed for very hard water, that's easy to fit and there's no kettling - so very quiet. All our previous Incalloy immersions were noisy, so this is a pleasant surprise. Also the thermostat is surprisingly accurate, set it to 55C and the water is max 55C.
