Tough Trade Quality Reversible Tarpaulin 5 x 8m is rated 3.6 out of 5 by 40.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent tarp Great size and for the money excellent Covered concrete a didn't rip

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Weak eyelets Bought two after reading the review of one customer extolling the endurance of weeks on a roof covering a dorma but when I was tying mine down to scaffold was surprised that one eyelet ripped off completely and three others pulled out. I don’t think I was being overly enthusiastic on getting it taut and I had no choice but to continue covering my flat roof as it was pouring down. I can say it’s waterproof but if the wind gets up I have no confidence the tie ropes will last a night. I never unpacked the other as it’s going back. On that basis I was disappointed. I use screwfix all the time and only once before have I reckoned a product wasn’t fit for purpose.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good Value Good value tarpaulin good size. It is worth remembering to get polypropylene rope at the same time so you can tie it down :-)

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not very tough Over all it doesn’t seem too bad thick and waterproof, but when we put rope through the holes and pulled it to tie it down 2 of the metal eyes ripped the tarpaulin straight away.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Not Bad A little bit thin for (Tough Trade Quality) and slightly expensive compared to others on the market but did the job.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Leaks from substandard tarpaul 5x8 tarpaulin Bought 7 of these covered 7 pods with them and every roof is saturated in water might aswell of bought fishing nets It's ashame there's no way to upload a picture or you could see the damage they have caused. Don't waste your money on these or it will cost you more in the short term

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Quality Tarp Bought this for covering Hay and Straw bales. Had to drag it around some branches and a wall but it did not snag or rip. Too early to comment on endurance

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very Tough I bought this tarpaulin to cover a temporary hole in our roof where a dormer had been removed and replaced with a Velux balcony window. With the dreadful weather this year the temporary hole is still not finally made good almost 3 months later. Despite having been fitted and removed multiple times it's still providing great protection. It recently withstood the tail end of hurricane Ophelia. The tie down eyelets have held up in gusts of up to 70mph on a very exposed roof. I'd rather the roof had been closed up long ago but our roofer needs one more calm dry day to fit the flashings and tiles around the Velux and they are few are far between this year. Happily this tarpaulin has saved us from serious water ingress through multiple storms and Ophelia. OK it's starting to look very tired but after what it's gone through I can't fault it for that! It's far exceeded our expectations and I'll buy another to keep for emergencies knowing it'll be up to the job in the most extreme conditions.
